A 'Puerto de Sóller' Scooter Escape

Type of Route: Coastal & Scenic
Suggested Duration: Half-day to Full Day
Starting Point: Sóller
Best Time to Go: Late afternoon (to catch the golden hour and sunset at Refugi de Muleta)

Want to explore Puerto de Sóller like a local? This short but stunning scooter route, starting from the heart of Puerto de Sóller and ending at the breathtaking Mirador de Ses Barques, is perfect for a chilled afternoon ride, golden hour adventure, or even a romantic coastal escape. With panoramic sea views, hidden gems, and unforgettable sunsets, this route lets you experience the very best of the Sóller coastline at your own pace, all while enjoying the freedom of the open road.

1. Start in Soller - Pick up your Scooter

Kick things off by grabbing your Lambretta from Viento Scooters in Sóller. Make sure you’ve got everything you need: helmet, phone holder, and maybe a jacket if you’re planning to stay out past sunset.

Suggested time: 10–15 minutes

2. Ride Down to Puerto de Sóller

Cruise the easy 10-minute ride down to the port. You’ll go through the peaceful Sa Figuera area, a scenic and quiet route that brings you directly to the heart of Puerto de Sóller.

Suggested time: 10 minutes ride

3. Mirador de Santa Catalina

Head to the Santa Catalina district, a charming old fisherman’s neighbourhood perched just above the port. The Mirador de Santa Catalina is a small viewpoint that gives you sweeping views of the marina, turquoise waters, and colourful boats. Bring your camera, it’s postcard-perfect.

Suggested time: 15–20 minutes

4. Faro de Cap Gros (Sóller Lighthouse)

Next, ride the winding road up to the Faro de Cap Gros, the iconic lighthouse watching over the bay. The ride up is short and scenic, and once there, you’ll get dramatic views of the cliffs and sea below.

Suggested time: 20–30 minutes
Tip: The road is narrow but paved—go slow and enjoy the curves.

5. Sunset at Refugi de Muleta

Just next to the lighthouse, you’ll find Refugi de Muleta, a rustic mountain lodge with one of the most peaceful sunset views in all of Sóller. Grab a drink or snack, or simply sit back and soak in the last golden rays of the day as the sun melts into the sea.

Suggested time: 45–60 minutes
Best time to arrive: 30–45 mins before sunset

BONUS. Torre Picada (Optional Hike)

If you’re up for a short hike, leave your scooter at the edge of the pine forest and walk around 50 minutes to the Torre Picada, an old watchtower from 1622. From the top, you’ll have panoramic views of the Mediterranean that are totally worth the detour.

Suggested time: 2 hours including walk
Note: It’s not accessible by scooter, but the peaceful forest trail adds a nice nature break to the route.

Return to Sóller

Head back whenever you’re ready. The route is short and smooth, perfect for a leisurely ride under the stars or just before dinner in town.

Final Tips:

  • Bring water, sunscreen, and a light jacket for sunset.
  • Wear good shoes if you plan to hike to Torre Picada.
  • Don’t forget your phone or camera—these views are made for it.

This route is best enjoyed on two wheels, with the freedom to stop, breathe, and take in the beauty of the island. Ready to ride? Book your Lambretta with Viento Scooters and start your adventure.
