Mountain & Beach Adventure

Thrills & Tranquility

Sa Calobra and Cala Tuent

Type of Route: Mountain & Beach Adventure
Suggested Duration: Full Day
Starting Point: Sóller
Best Time to Go: Morning (to beat the traffic and enjoy a relaxing afternoon at the beach)

Ready for one of the most iconic scooter rides on the island? This route combines jaw-dropping mountain views, thrilling curves, and two of the most beautiful coves on the north coast of Mallorca. Let’s ride.

1. Start in Soller

Fuel up (both your tank and your excitement) in Sóller and head out early. You’re in for one of the most legendary roads in Mallorca — the ride itself is part of the adventure. Take the Ma-10 heading towards Lluc, and then follow signs to Sa Calobra. You'll soon start winding your way through the Tramuntana mountains.

Suggested time: 30-40 minutes

2. Conquer the road to Sa Calobra

This isn’t just any road,  it's a bucket-list ride for motorheads. Featuring dozens of sharp hairpin bends and dramatic elevation changes, the drive to Sa Calobra is pure excitement. Known as one of the most scenic roads in Europe, it was designed with motor enthusiasts in mind. It’s only about 13 km, but take it slow, enjoy the views, and stop at the scenic pullouts along the way.

Suggested time: 45-60 minutes minutes ride

3. Sa Calobra & Torrent de Pareis

Once you reach Sa Calobra, park your scooter (there’s a designated area for bikes) and follow the pedestrian path through the cliffs to Torrent de Pareis. This narrow canyon opens up to a hidden beach between massive rock walls, a natural wonder and a perfect spot to rest, swim, and soak in the surreal scenery.

Tip: It can get crowded in peak season, so the earlier you arrive, the better.

Suggested time: 2.5-3 hours

4. Ride to Cala Tuent

After your visit to Sa Calobra, hop back on the scooter and head a few kilometers back to Cala Tuent — a much quieter cove with untouched natural surroundings. The road here is calmer, the vibes more peaceful. You’ll find crystal-clear waters, pine-covered cliffs, and far fewer tourists. It's an ideal place to relax, have a picnic, or enjoy a meal at the nearby Es Vergeret restaurant, which boasts epic sea views.

Suggested time: 1-2.5 hours

5. Make your way back before sunset

The return ride is just as beautiful, especially if you catch the golden hour light hitting the mountains. Take your time heading back to Sóller, maybe stopping at a mountain viewpoint or two for a final photo.

Suggested time: 1.5-2 hours

Final Tips:

This route is one of Mallorca’s most popular for a reason. It’s thrilling, scenic, and ends with not one, but two incredible beaches. Pack sunscreen, water, swimwear, and a camera, and enjoy every curve of the ride.
